Introduction

Carousel Slider Block is a responsive modern carousel slider for the Gutenberg block editor that lets you add any blocks to your slides. It uses Swiper.js for smooth, touch-friendly, modern carousel behaviour.

What is it?

Most carousel plugins force you to work outside the block editor — pasting shortcodes, filling in settings panels, or switching to a separate interface entirely. Carousel Block lives inside the editor. Each slide is a real Gutenberg inner block, which means you can drop in anything: Cover blocks, quotes, WooCommerce products, Instagram feeds, and more. Since the slides use native Gutenberg blocks, you can also extend them with the usual block hooks, actions, and filters.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.4 or later
  • Gutenberg block editor (classic editor not supported)
  • PHP 8.0 or later

Quick start

  1. Click the + block inserter and search for Carousel Slider.
  2. Add the block.
  3. Click the + button to create your first slide.
  4. Click inside the slides and add any block you like.
